business. Our firm has many clients from all over the world including the Spanish-speaking community. We also represent several international and national financial institutions in immigration and real estate matters. Immigration With respect to immigration matters, we assist clients from all over the world to obtain temporary work visas as intracompany transferees (L visas), skilled and unskilled temporary workers (H visas), treaty traders (E visas), NAFTA visas for Mexicans and Canadians (TN Visas) and immediate relatives of U.S. Citizens and to obtain lawful permanent residencethe "Green Card." We help musical and theatrical groups from all over the world who want to perform in the United States. We can help extradordinary athletes, entertainers, performers, artists, scientists who either want to come to the United States on a temporary basis or immigrate to the United States and obtain permanent residence-the "Green Card." We also help investors who want to invest in the United States and immigrate. We also help reunify families by assisting individuals obtain permanent residence as a result of immediate family, parents, brothers and sisters, or children of US permanent residents or citizens. We also assist foreign governments in their efforts to protect the rights of their citizens working in the United States. Real Estate In real estate, we assist individuals, corporations and other investors in acquiring, selling and developing residential and commercial real estate. We also assist clients in mortgaging real estate and leasing office space. Personal Issues We also assist clients in matters of personal interest such as divorce, estate and probate, adoption and personal injury. Commerce and Trade We also assist clients in obtaining licenses under the Cuban Assets Control Regulations, including under provisions permitting certain restricted travel, certain restricted transmission of money, and sending, on a restricted basis, of certain packages to Cuba. Thomas T. Hecht has been a lawyer since 1957 and is fluent in Spanish, Polish, and Russian. He has been representing individuals in immigration and related matters for over 35 years. He is a former treasurer of the Immigration Lawyers Nationality Association. He has given talks before Spanish-speaking immigrant groups and Chinese business groups. Leonard H. Hecht Leonard H. Hecht speaks Spanish and is a lawyer since 1988. He first practiced law with Battle Fowler in its real estate department. He is the author of several articles on real estate law which have been published in Crain's and the New York Law Journal.
